Julie and Brennan’s wedding ceremony took place at the stunning Knox College in Toronto, a beautiful Gothic-style chapel known for its rich history and architectural beauty. The floral arrangements for the ceremony were designed with elegance in mind, enhancing the chapel’s natural beauty without overshadowing it. Two statement arrangements, each filled with an abundance of white roses, hydrangeas, and soft greenery, were placed on sleek white stands at the altar. The gentle mix of florals was understated yet impactful, creating a serene and romantic atmosphere. The bright, airy chapel, with its high ceilings and large windows, was the perfect backdrop for these delicate floral designs. Sometimes, less truly is more—and in this case, these arrangements were all that was needed to complement the space.

For Julie’s bridal bouquet, we wanted to create something simple yet elegant, perfectly in tune with her vision of timeless beauty. The bouquet was crafted entirely with white roses, chosen for their classic appeal and purity. Rather than being overly structured, the bouquet featured longer stemmed roses, which were a key design element. The longer stems gave the bouquet a flowing, organic shape, adding sophistication and movement without feeling rigid. It was a perfect mix of grace and natural beauty.
Julie’s bridal bouquet was the focal point of the floral design, embodying everything she had envisioned for her special day—classic, chic, and effortlessly elegant. The bridesmaids’ bouquets echoed this design. Smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet, creating a cohesive and refined aesthetic. Both the bride and her bridesmaids carried stunning, timeless bouquets that tied the entire look together.
The decision to use all-white roses and longer stems was intentional, creating a modern yet classic feel that would remain elegant for years to come. The bouquet complemented Julie’s timeless wedding dress and the overall color scheme, making it one of the most memorable details of the day.
The Fairmont Royal York Reception: A Timeless, Elegant Affair
Following the ceremony, the celebration moved to The Fairmont Royal York. One of Toronto’s most luxurious and iconic venues. The Fairmont’s grand architecture, combined with the sophisticated floral designs, created the perfect setting for an unforgettable reception.
The long rectangular tables at the reception for the Wedding party and family, were dressed with floral runners featuring soft white blooms like roses, hydrangeas, lisianthus, Stocks, spray roses and lush greenery. The addition of Monet-style candleholders with floating candles added a layer of warmth and romance to the space. The flickering candlelight complemented the purity of the white florals, casting a soft, inviting glow throughout the room. The warm, soft light from the candles created an intimate, magical atmosphere that was perfect for the couple’s celebration.
For the round tables, we mixed tall and short centerpieces to create depth and visual interest. The tall arrangements were placed on elegant glass trumpet vases, surrounded by glowing candles. These tall designs brought an air of grandeur to the room, creating a striking focal point at each table. The short centerpieces were designed as round garlands, with white flowers and greenery surrounding candles in the center. This created a soft, natural look that added balance and harmony to the overall design.
Whether guests were seated at long or round tables, the entire reception was bathed in the warm glow of candles, creating an atmosphere of elegance and romance. The combination of tall, dramatic centerpieces and more intimate, low floral arrangements ensured the decor was dynamic and visually captivating, without being overwhelming.
